The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the top safari destinations in the world. Paradise for the wild animals because of the abundant year-round food and water supply and no need for migration. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected area surounding the crater, it is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Maasai people live in many villages in the area. The Empakaai Crater inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is 6 kilometres in diameter, with 300 meters high rim and alcaline lake covering most of the crater floor. The lake draws thousands of flamingos and other waterbirds.

Serengeti National Park is one of the world's largest game reserves and is considered the best safari destination in Africa. Tarangire National Park is most popular for its large elephant herds and high density of baobab trees. It is located in Tanzania and is usually seen by the visitors as a one day stop to the famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks.
